Junior News

Lots of good things going on this season:  Coaching;  GolfSixes;  GolfNines;  Development League teams; Development Inter Club and  National Flag Championship. 

2025 season is well under way with lots of activity.

Championships

The Club Championships took place in June and we now have 3 new Club Champions:

Coaching

Our coaching programmes with Scott are underway with 76 in the programmes.

Handicaps

We now have 55 of our 108 Juniors with national handicaps. ☺️

Events/Competitions

Edinburgh Development Inter Club

We are the 2025 champions. Our #1 team narrowly beat Bruntsfield after a 2 hole playoff at Swanston.

Scottish Golf GolfSixes Open

Our GolfSixes team finished a very creditable 9th from a field of 40 clubs from all over Scotland.

Scottish Golf Regional Flag Final

Our 2 teams narrowly missed out to Swanston for a place in the national final at Gleneagles, finishing 2nd and 3rd.

So far we've had 39 youngster playing in Flag competitions over the course of 5 events.

Our GolfSixes squad are performing well in their GolfSixes League, sitting top with 2 fixtures to play.

GolfNines

New to this year are the GolfNines friendlies, so far Juniors have enjoyed playing competitions at Home, Musselburgh Old, West Lothian, Haddington and Dundas Parks with a few more to come.

EJGL Development League

And finally we have 2 teams in the EJGL Development leagues. Our team in League C in winning their league progress to the final at Ratho Park GC. League B fixtures are still ongoing.

Membership

Due to our numbers we have we've closed membership for this year except to family members of current members and we've also closed our waiting list for 2026 membership. Membership opportunities may open up in April 2026.
